Ontario announced up to $26.3 million for water projects across Shawanaga First Nation, the District of Muskoka, the Town of Parry Sound and the Village of South River, funded through the Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program — Health and Safety Water Stream. The funding is allocated for backup power, treatment plant upgrades and distribution rehabilitation to strengthen local water and wastewater systems.
