Close to 100 people attended the eighth Empty Bowls fundraiser at the Christian Reformed Church in Williamsburg despite bitterly cold weather. Area potters donated handmade ceramic bowls for the luncheon. Local caterers and bakeries provided soup, bread and refreshments at no charge. A silent auction ran alongside the meal to raise additional funds for the organisation.
